Virtual Marine is a privately held Canadian company with its headquarters in Paradise, Newfoundland and Labrador. Our mission is to improve the safety of life at sea by providing realistic, effective, and safe training tools for small craft operators. Our simulators allow crews of small marine craft to train for real-life situations in environments that are often too dangerous and costly for live boat exercises.

Junior Marketing Coordinator (new)
Location: Paradise, NL
THE ROLE:
Virtual Marine is seeking a hands-on Junior Marketing Coordinator to work directly with the Marketing Communications Manager. This role supports marketing activities, events, campaign execution, and the organization of materials – while also providing sales administration support as needed. It’s a creative and dynamic position with variety, freedom to try new ideas, and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects. Strong design skills and basic website updating are valuable assets.
The Great Things You’ll Do:
- Create and schedule social media posts with engaging visuals.
- Assist with the design and formatting of marketing materials, including brochures, product sheets, presentations, and trade show assets.
- Develop graphics, layouts, and visual content for campaigns.
- Maintain marketing, conference, events, and travel calendars.
- Manage and update content libraries.
- Update website content as needed.
- Track basic marketing analytics.
- Support planning and execution of events, conferences, and trade shows, including research, registrations, bookings, and paperwork.
- Manage swag orders, inventory, packing, and shipping.
- Provide sales admin support as needed, such as preparing materials and routing inquiries.
What You’ll bring:
- 2 year Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience or a strong portfolio of work may be considered in place of formal education.
Assets:
- Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar).
- Experience assisting with photo and video shoots, and organizing content from shoots.
Skills:
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong writing, editing, and formatting abilities
- Comfortable using digital tools and multitasking.
- Creative, positive, and eager to learn while supporting the sales and marketing teams.
