Company Description: Scient Analytics is a rapidly growing tech company focused on
developing innovative tools for analyzing multi-dimensional imagery data in natural
resources and environmental assessments. Our mission is to reduce the environmental
impact of natural resources exploration, development, and monitoring by leveraging
non-invasive and nondestructive imagery techniques. We integrate science, nature, and
technology to revolutionize our approach to resource exploration.

About You: The ideal candidate for this role must possess demonstrated expertise in
React.js. As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing
user-friendly web applications using React.js and supporting seamless integration with
Python-based back-end components.

This position is funded through the Graduate Transition Initiative, delivered by techNL
and the Department of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development. The initiative provides
support to eligible companies that hire recent graduates into software development and
tech sales roles, providing meaningful early-career experience while supporting long-
term growth in Newfoundland and Labrador’s tech sector.

Eligibility
• Ability to work full-time in Newfoundland and Labrador starting August 2026.
• Legally entitled to work full-time in Newfoundland and Labrador.
• Completion (within the past two years) of a minimum one-year post-
secondary or skills-training program at a recognized NL institution (e.g., MUN,
CNA, Keyin College, Get Building, etc.).
• Not currently enrolled as a full-time student.
Eligible graduates who have completed post-secondary education within the past two
years are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills
• Proficiency in React.js, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience using Git/GitHub for version control
• Ability to work with files, JSON, and APIs in Python
• Basic knowledge of debugging and testing

Preferred Skills
• Exposure to Next.js
• Familiarity with state management libraries such as Zustand or Redux
• Experience with component libraries such as Material UI
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy
• Knowledge of linting, formatting, and Python testing tools such as pytest
• Understanding of virtual environments and dependency management
