Website Training Works Inc

Training Works is a human-centered technology company redefining how safety is understood, measured, and executed. We build intelligence-driven systems that support better decisions, safer behaviors, and accident prevention in complex, high-risk environments.

At the core of our work is the Internet of Safety™, an integrated platform that brings together three AI-powered safety intelligence engines:

  • Skilltinuous™ – An adaptive competency and learning engine that translates knowledge into safe, on-the-job behavior.
  • FatigueDefence™ – A fatigue risk intelligence engine that uses biometric and environmental data to protect decision quality and human performance.
  • HazardDefence™ – An AI-driven hazard intelligence engine leveraging computer vision and sensor data to surface workplace hazards before accidents occur.

Individually, each engine strengthens safety from a different dimension. Together, they unlock the full power of the Internet of Safety™ – predicting when and where the next accident will occur, enabling timely interventions to prevent it before it happens.

Our technologies are not built from behind desks. We have gone underground, gone to sea, and worked alongside frontline workers, supervisors, and executives in real operating conditions. Those experiences shaped not only our technologies, but our purpose.

We are now entering an accelerated commercialization and growth phase and are seeking a senior, hands-on technology leader to help architect what comes next.

The Role

As the Head of Technology & Architecture, you will serve as the principal technical leader for the Internet of Safety ecosystem. You will own the architectural vision, guide platform evolution, and ensure our technologies scale with integrity, security, and real-world relevance.

This is a hybrid role by design. You will operate as both a senior technology executive and a hands-on architect, shaping long-term strategy while remaining close to the code, models, and systems that bring our vision to life.

Your work will directly influence product direction, research priorities, and how our platform evolves as it moves from pilot deployments to broader industry adoption.

What You Will Do

Principal Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Lead the end-to-end technology strategy and architectural roadmap for the Internet of Safety ecosystem.
  • Act as the senior technical authority across the technologies, ensuring architectural coherence and interoperability.
  • Define and maintain target-state architectures, integration patterns, and reference models

Platform & Intelligence Development

  • Guide the development of AI and machine learning models supporting fatigue prediction, hazard detection, competency intelligence, and accident forecasting.
  • Oversee real-time data pipelines integrating biometric, environmental, video, and sensor-based inputs.
  • Ensure the platform supports scalable, API-first, modular deployment across diverse industrial environments.

Governance, Security & Integrity

  • Establish strong technical governance, including data privacy, cybersecurity, ethical AI practices, and model transparency.
  • Ensure solutions meet the expectations of regulated, safety-critical industries.

Product & Research Collaboration

  • Work closely with research, product, design, and domain experts to translate human factors insights into deployable technology.
  • Provide clear technical input into funding proposals, investor materials, and commercialization plans.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor and guide internal and contract development teams, setting standards for quality, rigor, and execution.
  • Help scale development practices while preserving agility and purpose.

Technology Scouting & Integration

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, vendors, and research partnerships to accelerate innovation without unnecessary complexity.

Required Skills & Experience

0+ years of experience in software, platform, or product development, with 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles (CTO, VP, Principal Architect, or equivalent).

Proven experience leading AI-driven, data-intensive, or sensor-based technology platforms from concept through deployment.

Hands-on expertise in:

  • AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, or equivalent)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • API-first architectures, microservices, and distributed systems
  • Data platforms (SQL, NoSQL, time-series, streaming)
  • Integration of biometric, environmental, video, or IoT data sources

Strong foundation in cybersecurity, data governance, and privacy compliance.

Experience working in or adjacent to industrial, safety-critical, or human performance environments.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial safety, applied AI, aerospace, defense, or human performance analytics.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience scaling technology platforms through pilot, commercialization, and investment phases.
  • Familiarity with predictive modeling related to risk, human behavior, or operational safety.
