Overview

The Workforce Insights & Solutions Facilitator will play a key role in helping employers build equitable and future-ready workplaces. This role involves conducting research on industry and labour market trends, evaluating existing programs, and developing new content tailored to employer and industry needs. By analyzing workforce challenges and identifying best practices, this role will create and deliver data-driven resources to support inclusive hiring, retention, and workplace strategies.
In addition to research and content development, the Facilitator will engage directly with industry groups, organizations, and employers to assess their needs and deliver professional development workshops, moderate focus groups, and facilitate sessions aimed at fostering more inclusive and equitable workplaces.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct research on industry and labour market trends, developing reports and insights that inform workforce programming.
•Evaluate the effectiveness of current/new workforce programs, track key metrics, and continuously improve and update materials based on employer feedback, research, and impact data.
•Engage directly with employers and industry partners to assess workforce development and inclusion needs, identify gaps/challenges in attraction, retention, and workplace culture, and provide tailored resources and best-practice guidance.
•Develop and deliver high-quality professional development workshops, facilitated discussions, and other resources that address workplace equity and workforce development.
•Lead and moderate focus groups and consultation sessions with industry leaders, employers, and key stakeholders to assess needs and report on key findings.
•Coordinate logistics for workshops and facilitated discussions, ensuring seamless execution of virtual and in-person sessions.
•Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders, including industry associations, employers, and workforce development partners, to support meaningful, long-term collaboration.
•Stay current with emerging tools and technologies that enhance workforce development strategies and optimize workshop delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

•University degree or college diploma in a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
•Experience in workforce development, facilitation, or labour market research.
•Extensive knowledge of inclusive attraction and retention strategies, and workplace best practices.
•Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
•Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with experience leading workshops, focus groups, and employer engagement sessions.
•Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
•Proficiency in virtual platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
•Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
•Related experience in the not-for-profit sector, with women centered organizations, or other underrepresented groups is considered an asset.
•Business travel insurance coverage is required and will be reimbursed in accordance with organization policies.
•A Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check is required upon employment and every two years thereafter.

Work Environment

•Primarily remote/flexible, with in-person meetings and facilitation as required. Engagements typically occur during standard working hours (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday), though some flexibility may be required.
•Travel may be required for employer engagements, focus groups, and industry events. Travel expenses will be covered in accordance with organization policies.

Salary & Contract Details

•Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per annum, prorated to contract term.
•This is a three-month contract with the possibility of extension, depending on funding and organizational needs.
