As our Sales Manager at SubC Imaging, you are the driving force behind our sales success! We’re looking for an energetic, motivational, persuasive leader who is highly organized and passionate about global B2B sales. In this role, you’ll provide ongoing coaching and support, lead our sales team to exceed targets, and ensure our sales processes run smoothly. You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to drive strategic business development, manage channels effectively, and build strong relationships with our domestic and global clients and distributors by promoting our underwater imaging and software solutions. Our head office is located in Clarenville, NL, Canada. This position is eligible for remote work, hybrid work or in-office work. Ideally, the successful candidate should reside in the Halifax metro region, NS, St. John’s, NL or Clarenville, NL with the ability to travel and work out of our head office for short periods several times a year.

What you do as Sales Manager:

Team Leadership and Coaching

  • Lead, motivate, and coach a small sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets by fostering a culture of collaboration, communication, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    Guide sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer relationship management.
    Prepare and execute annual performance reviews, half-year check-ins, and professional development plans to encourage and foster team growth.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Understand and effectively communicate the value propositions of our solutions.
    Understand customer needs and objectives; collaborate with the Customer Success Manager to ensure proper servicing and after-support.
    Build and maintain strong customer relationships, address concerns, and provide product demonstrations.
    Plan and execute customer outreach campaigns for revenue generation, managing leads and opportunities strategically.

Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Develop and execute sales plans for our underwater imaging solutions and software.
    Generate leads through research of new and existing accounts.
    Develop the pipeline through prospecting, meetings, conferences/events, calls, and emails.
    Maximize the use of sales software, including Salesforce and Acumatica. Manage the CRM platform to ensure contacts, leads, and opportunities are actioned as needed.
    Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and upselling opportunities with existing customers.
    Facilitate referral request conversations to leverage existing client networks for new business.
    Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build partnerships, promote products, and determine participation levels, including in-person and virtual conferences, tradeshows, and distributor-client meetings.

Sales Strategy Development

  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to achieve targets.
    Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
    Collaborate with management to identify new market sectors and geographies. Create a plan and acquire agents, distributors, or key contacts in those areas.
    Stay updated on industry trends and developments.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role with a proven track record of successful global B2B sales experience, preferably in a similar industry or with technical products.
    A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales management or a related field can be beneficial.
    Intermedial or Experienced user capabilities with SalesForce or similar CRM
    Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a small sales team, with a focus on achieving strategic goals
    Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and team members.
    A customer-centric approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and addressing customer needs.
    Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
