Meridia Recruitment is excited to partner with techNL in seeking a Program Manager, Ready Talent. This is an exceptional opportunity for a leadership-oriented individual to contribute to the growth and success of Newfoundland and Labrador’s tech sector. As part of a collaborative environment, the Program Manager will be responsible for managing the Ready Talent team, ensuring the successful delivery of program objectives, and fostering strategic partnerships with tech employers and key stakeholders. This individual will also play a vital role in creating and overseeing impactful talent attraction and retention initiatives within the tech ecosystem.
What You Will Do:
- Team Leadership & Program Oversight: Lead the Ready Talent team, ensuring the successful achievement of program goals such as talent retention, attraction, and maximizing the contribution of the program to techNL’s strategic initiatives.
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with tech employers, educational institutions, and community stakeholders to further the success of the program.
- Data Collection & Reporting: Oversee data collection, reporting, and analysis to assess program outcomes, inform decision-making, and communicate results to partners and stakeholders.
- Budget & Compliance Management: Manage program finances, ensuring compliance with budgets, reporting, and funding requirements.
- DEIB Initiatives: Integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) principles within talent programming to foster a more inclusive tech ecosystem.
- Presentations & Facilitation: Lead and moderate both virtual and in-person sessions at events as well as presenting program updates, best practices, and insights to stakeholders.
- Administrative Support & Travel: Provide necessary administrative support and participate in local, provincial, and national travel related to program activities.
Who You Are:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is an asset; however, equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Project Management Experience: Strong experience in managing projects and programs with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and achieve results.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in tools such as HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Trello, or similar platforms to manage client relationships and projects.
- Labour Market Knowledge: Understanding of labour market trends, skills gap identification, and the ability to link individuals with the right community or private sector partners.
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Self-Starter: A highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results with minimal supervision.
- HR & People Management Experience: Experience developing hiring best practices, talent sourcing, employee policies, and process creation considered an asset.

Additional Details:
- This is a full-time contract position, with the contract expiring on March 31, 2030.
- The role involves primarily in-person work, with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Employees are encouraged to be present in the office for all five workdays.
- The role includes a mandatory group health benefits plan and 3 weeks paid annual vacation.
