Skills For Hire Atlantic is a digital skills and career-building training program designed to help fill the need for qualified entry-level talent in the tech sector across Atlantic Canada. The program has been developed through a partnership between Digital Nova Scotia (DNS) and Bluedrop ISM and is funded by the Government of Canada’s Adult Learning, Literacy and Essential Skills Program.

A major program objective is to ensure that participants develop valuable skills, a solid foundation and the confidence they need to find meaningful job opportunities, enabling them to thrive and support the Atlantic tech ecosystem. 
Over the course of three years, Skills For Hire Atlantic will train 1,500 participants on in-demand, entry-level positions, working to fill the existing gaps in local talent.
