Job description

Assume a leadership role in the implementation and execution of our machine learning and data strategy.

Responsibilities include:

Leadership responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in the design and implementation of AI and Data strategy, including defining appropriate Key Process Indicators.
• Lead and manage a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists to deliver innovative AI models capable of accurately analyzing and interpreting heart sound data.
• Implement and run an appropriate management infrastructure in your area and conduct regular meetings to ensure team is communicating optimally, execution is progressing as planned, and quality, reporting and budget targets are being met.

AI and Data Science responsibilities:

• Oversee the design, development and deployment of machine learning and AI models.
• Develop minimum viable products based on machine learning and improve existing algorithms and models.
• Establish scalable model validation, model implementation, and large-scale data analysis.
• Oversee statistical analysis and interpretation of audio data and AI results essential in the decision-making process for the organization.
• Conduct research to provide technical solutions at scale for analyzing audio data for our solution.
• Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to integrate AI and ML algorithms into our products, and to transform AI models into APIs that other applications can interact with.
• Maintain an active connection with the AI and data science community, staying abreast of the latest advancements and trends that can potentially be leveraged in our solution.

Senior team responsibilities:

• Establish targets, budget, strategy.
• Diagnose obstacles and identify and drive solutions.
• Participate in presentations to the Board of directors, investors and other stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve quality or optimize cost.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in creation of high-impact AI solutions.
• Bachelor or Masters in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, AI or a closely related discipline. PhD highly preferred.
• Industry experience in developing and production deploying an AI-based solution end-to-end. Experience leading a team that delivered such solution is a significant asset.
• Demonstrable specialized expertise in an area of machine learning, such as Audio Processing, Natural Language Processing or Computer Vision.
• Extensive programming experience in Python and/or R.
• Substantial experience developing and deploying models using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Tensorflow.
• Experience with MLOps and/or DevOps, preferably using cloud providers such as AWS, GCP or Azure

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with in-memory and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
