Innovation Week 2022 Partner Events

techNL will be hosting Innovation Week 2022 from October 4 – 6 at the St. John’s Convention Centre. This will be the ninth annual Innovation Week, which brings together Newfoundland and Labrador’s business community, students and public and private partners in a series of events. Innovation Week will engage, educate and inspire attendees, help fuel growth and showcase the energy and momentum of the technology and innovation sector in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Description of Partner Events

Excite, Grand Falls-Windsor
October 17-20 

Excite will be hosting a partner event for students from grades 4-12 in the region. This event will introduce students with strong interest in STEM to health tech.  The focus of this event is to create a technology tool alert a caregiver to assist ta person who is suffering from tremors associated with Parkinson’s.   This activity supports the EXCITE goal of building rural health innovation hub in Grand Falls-Windsor. Additional partners involved include Brilliant Labs, Exploits Valley High, Expoits Intermediate and Sprucewood Academy.

Genesis, St. John’s
October 6 

Genesis will be hosting a partner event in St. John’s for local women in tech to celebrate gender equity and promote the advancement of women in the tech space. The Female Founders, Funders & Fortifiers, a breakfast series powered by BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Venture Fund will host a panel of women tech founders and leaders and different stages in their careers. This event will take place in-person on October 6 at the St. John’s Convention Centre with an on-line streaming option.

Connecting the Dots.
October 18

NLWIC is hosting a panel session + networking event in collaboration with techNL Innovation Week and Navigate Grenfell-MUN on October 18 in Corner Brook. The event will be in-person and live-streamed.

Hear from experts in workforce development, innovation and the tech sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. Participate in Q&A, exchange ideas and discuss opportunities to expand the workforce in your region. Engage with employers, job seekers, training providers, students and other stakeholders in your community.
