Hasan Hai
VICE-CHAIR
Hasan Hai is the Vice-Chair of techNL and a builder, founder, and community connector with over 20 years in Canada’s technology sector. His career includes leadership roles in customer support, operations, customer success, and sales—most recently as Regional Vice President of Sales with Carnegie Learning, a K–12 EdTech company headquartered in St. John’s, NL.
Since pivoting from telecommunications to SaaS in 2017, Hasan has focused on scaling teams and organizations through strategy, culture, and inclusion. He is best known as the founder of the “MerB’ys” initiative, which raised over $600,000 for local charities while promoting inclusion and body positivity, and Project Kindness, a volunteer network that mobilized community-based acts of giving.
Hasan also serves as a Connector with the Amal Unite & Empower Connector Program, helping skilled newcomers expand their networks, integrate into the workforce, and establish Newfoundland and Labrador as home. A strong believer in mentorship, he is passionate about supporting youth, emerging professionals, and newcomers as they grow and lead.
He frequently speaks on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, championing inclusive, values-driven organizations and communities.
