techNL is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from member companies to participate in a new pilot program designed to address one of the most pressing challenges in our sector: attracting and retaining senior and specialized tech talent in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Tech Talent Relocation Pilot Program will support the permanent relocation of experienced tech professionals to the province, strengthening in-province leadership capacity and enabling companies to scale more effectively.
This limited pilot will select up to two (2) companies to participate.
What’s Included:
- A one-time relocation subsidy of up to $15,000, with a required $5,000 employer contribution (totaling $20,000) to offset eligible relocation expenses
- Settlement and integration support through techNL and partners
- A structured ecosystem contribution requirement (30 volunteer hours over three years) to strengthen mentorship and community connection
This initiative is funded by techNL’s revenues as a strategic investment to strengthen in-province leadership capacity and support long-term sector growth.
This pilot will allow techNL to measure impact, assess demand, and refine the model before considering broader implementation.
