We are part of the Genesis Enterprise incubator and are currently piloting field trials with prospective customers.
Job Description: We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to become a key part of our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the Software Development lead to design, develop, and maintain innovative full-stack applications, leveraging Node.js frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate developer to work on dynamic projects and expand their skills in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend applications using Node.js frameworks, including Next.js, NestJS, Express.js, React Native and React.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly web and mobile applications with React.js and React Native, focusing on optimal performance and a smooth user experience.
- Utilize Next.js for server-side rendering.
- Assist in building RESTful APIs and integrating with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL.
- Contribute to code reviews and maintain best practices in version control using Git.
- Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to team meetings.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Node.js frameworks (Next, Nest, Express, React Native and ReactJS).
- Experience in building responsive web applications with React.js and familiarity with component-based architecture.
- Knowledge of server-side rendering concepts using Next.js.
- Familiarity with C++ programming.
- Experience with REST APIs and database management (MongoDB and MySQL).
- Knowledge of Git for version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with firmware development for IoT solutions and real-time embedded applications
- Experience with AWS EC2 services.
- Familiarity with IoT (Internet of Things) concepts and technologies.

Eligibility Criteria
Please note that this position is pending funding approval. Additionally, the funding program requires applicants meet specific eligibility criteria:
- Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive).
- Post-secondary graduate.
- Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee status in Canada. (Note: Individuals on work permits or student visas are not eligible.)
