Are you an instructional design rock star with a passion for developing yourself and others? Do you love conceptualizing ideas and building creative multimedia-based training solutions? Training Works is a knowledge and skills development company, and our passion is figuring out creative and innovative learning solutions for our clients. We are in growth mode and looking for an Instructional Designer to join our team.
In this role, you will work with customers, internal and external partners, and Subject Matter Experts to develop learning solutions that are both engaging and educationally sound. Leveraging leading multimedia development technologies, you will bring your solutions to life through high quality videos and courses using 2D animations like whiteboard and motion iconography, 3D animations, and live video suitable for all devices. We will look to you to learn what the latest greatest design trends are and allow you the flexibility to experiment and innovate.
Work with internal and external partners and customers to scope instructional requirements
Develop engaging multimedia based elearning materials including but not limited to script writing, voiceover, animation, and/or filming.
Develop instructional materials and work with stakeholders to iterate on content design to meet customer requirements
Convert paper based and/or classroom-based training into microlearning modules using the appropriate design to meet the learning objectives
Perform other instructional design, writing and content development duties as assigned.
Diploma/Degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, eLearning Development or equivalent
Experience developing 2D and 3D mp4 required
Understanding of adult learning methodologies, UDL, and Mayer’s Principles preferred
2 years’ experience developing video-based eLearning content for adult learners
1-year experience developing lesson plans and curriculum
High degree of digital literacy including experience with content development tools such as: Adobe suite, Camtasia, or Articulate
Experience developing in SCORM, AICC, and other eLearning file types considered an asset.
Superior written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
Strong research and writing skills considered an asset, bonus points if you have experience responding to RFPs
