PolyUnity Tech Inc. (PolyUnity) is looking for a Senior Application Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of the PolyUnity SaaS platform.

What are we looking for in you?

We are a team of software developers that specialize in developing SaaS solutions for Healthcare clients. Our solutions link our clients, healthcare professionals, to our digital inventory so they can order products and services quickly and at a low cost.

This job is an exciting opportunity to apply your software development knowledge to health-tech in additive manufacturing. We use cutting edge, cloud based technologies so you will be leveraging your skills in a sector that is experiencing exponential growth. For this role it is essential to be open to learning, sharing, mentoring and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

– Participate in the design and creation of scalable software

– Participate in an interactive agile methodology (SCRUM)

– Develop front-end assets for React and GCP

– Write code for custom Node.js modules and APIs

– Design/implement models for Google Firebase

– Update project plans and follow the PolyUnity development methodology

Primary Considerations

– A proven track record (3 – 5 years) in developing great software, not just making it work but following design principles to make things right

– 3 – 5 years working with web app tools such as React, TypeScript, Node.js

– 3 – 5 years experience developing software using cloud service architecture (GCP/AWS)

– Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and data structures

– Experience mentoring other team members to share knowledge

– Team player who enjoys collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team

– Clear communicator who recognizes the value of documentation and formatting

– Problem-solving skills and patience, attention to detail and a desire to improve

– Experience with Visual Studio or other IDEs and GitHub

– Experience designing and developing CI/CD workflows/tools

– A good attitude and a focus on the success of the entire team is key to the role

Secondary Considerations

– Prior knowledge of Redux and/or other state containers is an asset

– Any experience or interest in 3D printing would be nice but not essential

– Familiarity / Experience with Unix-based OS, Micro-controllers, Shell scripting, and CLIs would be considered an asset
