On behalf of our partner, we are seeking a Manager of Finance and Government Reporting to join the Finance Team in this key operational role.

Reporting to the VP, Finance and Special Projects and working with colleagues across the organization, the Manager of Finance and Government Reporting will be responsible for supporting the budgeting, accounting and reporting functions for Genesis.

Responsibilities:

·         Performing budget monitoring and preparing monthly/quarterly financial reports;

·         Tracking and ensuring allowable costs are charged to the appropriate division/project;

·         Working with colleagues to manage contractual requirements under funder agreements, coordinating with staff on reporting and preparing claims;

·         Managing the invoicing and accounts receivable function;

·         Maintaining the accounting systems (Quickbooks, Banner) and chart of accounts;

·         Supporting the royalty agreement program through the timely collection and analysis of client financial statements;

·         Supporting the year-end and audit processes;

·         Leading a small team of accounting staff; and

·         Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and be able to navigate a budget with multiple funders. The individual should be proactive and energetic, able to work in a fast-paced environment and has strong verbal and written communication skills. Completion of a degree in business administration (or similar) with two years’ relevant work experience is preferred. Holding or in the process of earning a CPA designation is considered an asset, but not required. Equivalencies will be considered.
