As part of the OCIO CSS support team these positions deliver a wide range of information technology services that are critical to the daily operations of all government departments, including critical public-facing government services. These positions provide ongoing support to further the security, functionality, integrity and availability of government’s information technology infrastructure and assets; responds to all service requests by either telephone, email, or in person; tracks, escalates and ensures resolution of requests; performs provisioning/troubleshooting of hardware/software and upgrades to desktop infrastructure; performs maintenance work such as security updates/patching and remediation and management of computer assets, engaging other support teams as necessary; and actions departmental moves, accounts management, providing IT support to projects and initiatives, remote access, data wiring, mobile support, imaging and change management and often deal with priority and time-sensitive requests from departments that could affect critical public-facing government services.
