Innovation Week 2025

Innovation Week 2025 is fuelled by the ideas and ambitions of Newfoundland and Labrador’s dynamic tech sector — designed to tackle the real challenges of scaling companies, diversifying markets, and growing teams. From October 27–29, the St. John’s Convention Centre and the Co. Innovation Centre will be alive with global expertise, proven success stories, and the strategies to propel companies to their next stage of growth. Whether you’re building in Newfoundland and Labrador, across Atlantic Canada, or beyond — or supporting the tech sector in other ways — this is where founders, executives, and tech workers come to sharpen their edge.

This year’s agenda is where global expertise meets local scale-ups. Attendees will hear from keynote speakers like Michele Romanow (Clearco Co-Founder, Dragons’ Den) on building cultures that drive success, leading disruptive innovation, and scaling companies; Dan Shaw (Fiix $380M exit; former Blackberry) on sales playbooks and sustainable growth; and Mohannad El-Barachi (Wrk.com, SweetIQ) on venture building and the AI-driven future of scaling. They’ll be joined by Newfoundland and Labrador’s own powerhouse innovators — leaders from Kraken Robotics, Solace Power, Bluedrop ISM, Nasdaq Verafin, Colab, and more — whose companies are shaping and expanding global markets from right here at home.

By day, Innovation Week delivers the content and connections to accelerate your growth. By night, techfest: Battle of the Tech Bands amps up the energy with live music, networking, and friendly competition — with bragging rights on the line and participating bands donating to a local charity. The agenda also features The Genesis Pitch, where founders will compete for $45,000 in prizes, spotlighting the next wave of NL innovators.
