This week ACOA announced the Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF) that includes funding for business owners and support organizations that have not been able to sufficiently access other federal emergency support measures in light of COVID-19. The technology industry is one of the priority sectors identified for this program which assists with liquidity issues and working capital gaps that other programs have not addressed. This program provides 100% financing with flexible repayment windows and with an intention to flow the funding support rapidly for immediate assistance. Companies can apply for the RRRF if they have either:
You can fill out an online application here, which is part of a streamlined, efficient process to support organizations. The deadline to apply for the RRRF is March 31, 2021.
More information is available on the ACOA website.
Your gently-used equipment can help those who are a socially-isolated stay more connected and access needed services, especially during this precarious time of COVID-19.
So many of us take for granted the ability to call our family on a cell phone, look up information on a computer, make a doctor’s appointment, or access online services, especially during this time of crisis. Many vulnerable people in our community cannot access basic services, call 811, or apply for the Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) because they have limited or no access to technology.
If you have any laptops, tablets or smartphones that you or your organization are not using, consider donating them to the less fortunate in our community. NATI is helping facilitate these donations through the tech sector and our membership. If you have anything you would like to donate, be sure it is wiped it clean and ready to use.
